We will be transferring power to generator/UPS in the Carlow data centre on Friday 29th to accommodate power upgrades to the site. This will happen during a maintenance window of between 09;00 – 17:00 and the actual works will take approximately 30 minutes within that window.
No service outage is expected however services should be considered “at risk” due to the loss of redundancy during the works. We will update this post should any changes to the maintenance occur.
Services at risk include – dedicated and colocation services, cloud2 services, transit services terminating in Carlow
Update: due to a delay in the current works , the scheduled power outage is being deferred until next week – We will update this post with more details when we have them.
Update: 2/4/2024 – the shutdown of the main breaker into the site will take place on Monday 8th of April. Per the original post, the works will be brief during which time we are at risk. All loads will be supported by the UPS + Generators on site.
