Blacknight Hosting Network Status

cp.blacknight.com planned downtime for a software upgrade

Summary: Our backend platform is being upgraded from v7.2 to v7.3 which brings some performance improvements. Most will not be noticable to our end users. However this is a precursor to v7.4 which brings GDPR updates which will be installed in May once it’s available.

What is affected: The ability to single sign on into any services from our control panel. The ability to manage your services, pay for renewals, buy new services will be affected for a period of approx 4 hours from 03:00 until 08:00.

What should not be affected: Your web sites, email, cloud vms, hosted exchange mailboxes, sitebuilder websites. However we can not rule our service restarts such as Apache or Dovecot which could cause temporary downtime for websites or email. We’ll be monitoring services for the duration of the upgrade.

Update 11/4/18 07:00: The upgrade is ongoing at present, we will update this post once it is complete.

Update 11/4/18 08:00: The upgrade is nearing completion now and the Control Panel is back online, we have encountered an issue with Linux Shared Hosting servers during updates which is causing some to be offline at present, we have identified the issue and are rolling out a fix now, we will update this post again once we have a further update.

Update 11/4/18 08:25: All Linux Shared Hosting servers are now fully back online, we continue to complete post-upgrade checks and will update this post further if required.
